Carve, ink, stamp!
Come learn how to create your own linocut stamp and print with two Sacramento-based artists. In this workshop, you will watch a live demonstration and learn more about the thrill of creating your own stamp to use over and over again. To celebrate our artist community, we will be creating linocut "quilts" with all of the participants' stamps. Each participant will take home their own stamp and "community quilt" tote bag. All materials will be provided. We can't wait to see what we all create!

Sublimation Collage on Fabric

A hands-on, multi-media workshop exploring the intersection of traditional cut paper collage and modern sublimation heat transfer science.
Participants learn to convert analog paper collage into vibrant, permanent fabric prints onto zippered bags, canvas totes, coasters or mousepads. Blending traditional printmaking and collage traditions with modern maker tools, this workshop encourages play with negative space, color contrast, and surface design.
Urban Sketching for Mindfulness

Urban sketching is all about paying attention to the present moment. In this workshop, I’ll share strategies to enhance mindfulness while sketching on location. I’ll also demo some tools of awareness that have helped me to become more self-compassionate about my art, and as a result, braver and bolder in creating. We’ll start with a warmup exercise, then practice our new skills by urban sketching outside.
Please bring a sketchbook and a pen, or whatever tools you feel most comfortable drawing with!
